Art is imitating life for Zarina Wahab and her son Sooraj Pancholi.
The veteran actress has signed on to play her real beta’s on-screen mom in a biopic about the Indian boxer Hawa Singh. The drama will tell the true story of the legendary Jat who dominated Asian amateur boxing in the late 60s and won gold medals in back-to-back Asian Games. The screen-take on his life is being designed as a ma-beta story since Hawa Singh’s mother was his biggest supporter right from the start. I think the casting is a genius move.
