Sudhir Mishra has announced a remake of his own directorial debut Yeh Woh Manzil To Nahin.
For those of you who haven’t seen the 1987 classic, it centred on three old school friends who reminisce about their days of student activism while traveling to their boarding school’s centenary celebrations. The film had won Sudhir the National Award for best debutant director, and 33-years-later he credits today’s students for inspiring him to revisit the subject. I’m curious to see if his approach to the subject matter changes.
