Both married each other in the presence of their loved ones on January 24, 2021, at the Mansion House in Alibaug. While all the preparations were kept a secret, admirers were thrilled to see the childhood sweethearts finally getting hitched. Among the few people invited, filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who also is Varun's cousin, has now talked about the intimate wedding of the two.
In a media chat, the filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who was part of the wedding ceremonies with his family, has posted how the ceremony was. While he did not get into details, Kunal revealed that the idea of the wedding was to keep it among very close family and even closer friends. He gave a shoutout to Varun and Natasha's friends in the chat and disclosed that at the end of the 3-day long wedding extravaganza, they all ended up coming out being closer. He also praised Varun and Natasha for choosing their friends well.
Revealing the insight about Varun and Natasha's wedding, Kunal revealed, "The whole idea was to just keep it to the close family and very, very close friends. There were four-five friends of his, whom everyone knows from school. We were sharing stories. It was very nice, a close-knit environment of friends like family and family-like friends. That was what was wonderful about it." Further, praising Varun and Natasha's friends, he said, "I always say, ‘You can’t choose your family but you can choose your friends,’ and I am glad he has chosen his friends well. Likewise for Natasha. Both of them have a wonderful set of friends. It was just like one big family and we were all happy to be together in the privacy of everything."
Kunal even expressed gratitude to the media for respecting the family's privacy and not interfering with anything.
