Ronnie Screwvala has hired Abhishek Chaubey to write and helm a biopic about the hockey great Dhyan Chand.
For those of you who don’t know this, the sport’s icon represented India from 1926 to 1948, and scored 570 goals in a career in which he won three gold medals at the Olympics. Ronnie has wanted to make the film for years but had trouble getting it off the ground, so it’s a good sign that Abhishek’s team is already piecing Dhyan Chand’s life together to see which bits to bring to the screen!
