Vanita Kumar is following her hubby's footsteps to go from art director to filmmaker.
Omung Kumar’s wife is making her directorial debut with a short film called Ave Maria, which is about the issue of child abuse in India. Vanita has also written the film, and she hopes it creates awareness about the importance of communication, because the number of kids who experience sexual abuse but don’t speak up is staggering. Ave Maria will play at film fests in Manchester and Liverpool, and sounds like essential viewing.
